IV Certificate Course

We provide an Intravenous Certificate course for allied healthcare providers. This course presents the core skills required for the healthcare provider to become familiar with intravenous therapy.

Education and training will include a review of the circulatory system, insertion procedure, techniques for proper and successful catheter insertions, care, assessment and maintenance post catheter insertion, isotonic, hypertonic and hypotonic crystaloid solutions. intravenous-certificate

You will receive hands-on training in an I.V. lab and will be performing vein puncture and intravenous canulation on life like manikins.

In addition, you will be administering medications and different solutions of crystaloids via the intravenous route.

You will get insight on the “tricks-of-the-trade” as it pertains to math calculations as it relates to flow rates for many different medications.

This IV certificate course is a total of 4 hours of time in the classroom and in the IV laboratory. Should you require additional time and training, the IV Instructor will work with you on a one-on-one basis.

Upon successful completion of this course, you will receive an Intravenous Certificate of completion.
